Privacy Policy

In short: Her Bible works without an account. Your prayers, notes, highlights and reading progress are stored on your device. If you choose to sign in, we use your basic account info to back up your progress. We use analytics and crash reporting to improve the app, and we show ads through Google AdMob. We never sell your personal data.

Who we are

Her Bible is published by Everland ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Her Bible mobile app (iOS and Android) collects and how it is used. Questions: [email protected].

Information stored on your device

Your daily prayer progress, reading-plan progress, notes, reflections, highlights, bookmarks, mood check-ins and reminder settings are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers unless you sign in (see below).

Optional account (sign-in)

You can use every core feature without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, we receive your basic profile information (name, email address, and profile photo where provided) to create your account and associate your progress with it so it can be restored on a new device. We do not receive your passwords. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at [email protected] — we respond within 30 days.

Usage and diagnostics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (e.g. which screens are opened, app language, device model and OS version) and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports. This data is aggregated and helps us fix bugs and improve features.

Advertising

The free version of Her Bible shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads, subject to your device's privacy settings (including iOS App Tracking Transparency and Android ad-personalization settings). See Google's advertising policy.

AdMob also fills some ad requests through mediation partners, whose software is included in the app and which may independently collect device identifiers and ad-interaction data for the same purposes:

On iOS, none of these partners receive data for personalised advertising unless you allow tracking when the app asks. On Android you can limit this at any time in Settings → Google → Ads. Buying the ad-free upgrade removes all advertising software's ad requests from the app.

Notifications

Prayer and reading reminders are scheduled locally on your device and only after you grant notification permission. You can disable them anytime in the app or in system settings.

Content delivery

Bible text, images and audio are delivered from our content servers (Cloudflare). Standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) may be processed briefly to deliver this content securely; we do not use them to identify you.

Third-party services

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights. We do not sell your personal data.

Children

Her Bible is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention & security

On-device data stays until you delete it or uninstall the app. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted upon request. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
